Development efforts across the Pacific too often fall short not from lack of good intentions, but from a failure to connect design with delivery on the ground.
Throughout Pacific island communities, social programs and public policies are frequently approached as isolated, short-term projects. Planning happens far from the communities it serves. Technology is introduced without regard for local infrastructure or connectivity. Pilot programs are launched across scattered atolls with no pathway to permanence. External advisors deliver recommendations that never take root.
The outcome is all too familiar: incomplete rollouts, limited local ownership, and interventions that dissolve once donor funding moves on.
Mana Pasifiki was founded to break this cycle across the Pacific.
